Seeking Interviews about the Provocative, Scary, and Strange in Fiction, Poetry, and Film
ATTENTION AUTHORS, FILMMAKERS, AND OTHER ARTISTS!
If you work with horror, the supernatural, the surreal, dark fantasy, dark sci-fi, or adjacent genres or themes in prose fiction, poetry, film, or other media, I probably want to host you for an interview! So far, my interviews have focused on horror in fiction, poetry, and film, but my mind remains open.
INTERVIEW? I mean a written, asynchronous interview, not a live discussion.
Once we’ve decided to do an interview, I’ll ask you which of your works you want to focus on, and then you’ll send me description(s) (which I’ll eventually publish with the interview) of the work(s) along with your professional bio.
I don’t write boilerplate questions–I’ll base your interview on what you send me. If you have review copies, screeners, etc. you can share, I’ll do my best to read, watch, etc. because doing so makes my questions better, but sending me free stuff is NOT required. No money changes hands in this process. I do not sell ads on this site. It’s all about the work, I tell you!
Anyway, so I study what I’ve got and then send you what I hope are deep and probing questions, you send me back thoughtful and charming answers, I format and festoon the interview with your book covers and links and your mug to go with your bio, I publish, we spread the word, and everyone rejoices.
NOTE: Once I agree to do an interview with you, especially if I’m reading one (I’ll rarely, but sometimes, read more) of your books or watching one of your movies, I will spend hours preparing your questions. If you become unresponsive or bail without a really good reason at that point, horrible monsters will be dispatched to eat your innards, and they will be just. If you say you’re in, make sure you’re in.
If you’d like an interview, please use this site’s contact page or email me at [email protected]. Whichever you choose, please either input your email address (first option) or tell me it’s what you want (second option) in order to be added to my newsletter list so that you’ll never miss an interview with wonderful persons like yourself.
I look forward to hearing from you!
